Isolation and screening of lignocellulose hydrolytic saprophytic fungi from dairy manure soil

چکیده
This study was aimed to screen the lignocellulolytic ability of selected fungi under laboratory conditions. In presence of lignin and hemicellulose will reduce the activity of cellulase. Wild type fungal strains which have cellulolytic activity along with lignolytic activity, hemicellulolytic activity, were isolated from different animal dung manure soils collected from Sri Venkateswara Go Samrakshanasaala, Tirupati. All starins were studied by cultural morphological characteristics and microscopic examinations. Seventy fungal strains were isolated and among which ten isolates found to have lingocellulolytic activity. The isolates namely Trichoderma, Aspergillus, Penicillum, Altrernaria, were found to be highly lingocellulolytic compared to the rest. This study showed that the fungal isolates with appreciable hydrolytic zones have good hydrolytic property of lignocelluloses.

Over one-year period, 150 pasture soil samples and 138 sheep faecal samples, collected from different parts of Iran were screened for the presence of nematophagous fungi. The samples were cultured at 25ºC on chloramphenicol-2% water agar (CHF-WA) plates in the presence of Haemonchus contortus third stage larvae (L3) and checked over a two-month period for characteristic conidia, conidiophores a...

The isolation of bacteria was carried out from samples of straw and chicken manure, compost at various stages of the composting process and casing soil used for growing button mushrooms. A preliminary screening of 108 bacterial isolates for antagonistic activity against Trichoderma aggressivum f. europaeum showed that 23 tested isolates inhibited mycelial growth of the pathogenic fungus. Furthe...
متن کاملContrasting effects of biochar versus manure on soil microbial communities and enzyme activities in an Aridisol.
Biochar can increase microbial activity, alter microbial community structure, and increase soil fertility in arid and semi-arid soils, but at relatively high rates that may be impractical for large-scale field studies. This contrasts with organic amendments such as manure, which can be abundant and inexpensive if locally available, and thus can be applied to fields at greater rates than biochar...

Background: Bone Marrow Transplantation is one of the most important therapeutic methods in much malignant and nonmalignant disease. Patients with Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) following radiotherapy and chemotherapy will suffer from immuno-suppression. Therefore they are susceptible to get saprophytic fungi infection that sometimes are killer. Materials and Methods: The purpose of this ...
متن کاملScreening, Identification of Alkaline Proteases Producing Fungi from Soil of Different Habitats of Amalner Tahsil [Maharashtra] and Their Applications
Fungal proteases had wide applications in textile, leather, food and Pharmaceutical industries. As proteases shows proteolytic activity they are helpful in proteinic stain removal hence also used in various commercial detergent industries. For fungal isolation soil samples were collected from different sites of Amalner tahsil. (Maharashtra) e.g. crop fields, near dairy areas, poultry farms etc....
